Niek Stassen is currently a PhD Candidate at the MERLN Institute for Technology-Inspired Regenerative Medicine, a position held since September 2024. Previously, Niek served as a Research Intern at both the MERLN Institute and the Department of Toxicogenomics from September 2023 to June 2024 and at the Department of Toxicogenomics from April 2022 to July 2022. Niek also held the role of Student Ambassador for the Bachelor program in Regenerative Medicine and Technology and the Master program in Biomedical Sciences (RM specialization) at Universiteit Maastricht from October 2022 to June 2024, guiding prospective students during Open Days and Experience Days. Niek holds a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences, achieved at Maastricht University in June 2024, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences, completed in June 2022. Educational background includes attendance at Graaf Huyn College from 2013 to 2019.
