Niccolò Chierroni

Niccolò Chierroni has extensive work experience in leadership and business development roles. Niccolò is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at MERMEC Engineering since September 2022. Prior to this, they worked at EikonTech srl as the CEO from August 2019 to August 2022.

Before that, Chierroni was the Group Business Development Director at Angel Company from July 2018 to August 2022. Niccolò was responsible for managing and coordinating strategic and commercial activities across different business units. Niccolò also analyzed new investments and led organizational changes to enhance coordination between various activities.

From 2013 to 2018, Chierroni served at SSE - Sirio Sistemi Elettronici S.p.A., first as the Foreign Organizations Director from October 2016 to July 2018, and then as the Country Manager - CEO from March 2013 to October 2016.

Niccolò also worked at IVECO Defence Vehicles as a Senior Program Manager in 2012 and Alenia Aermacchi - a Finmeccanica Company as a Proposal Manager from February 2010 to December 2011. In these roles, they managed tenders and coordinated teams for international military projects.

Additionally, Chierroni worked at SSE - Sirio Sistemi Elettronici S.p.A. as a Sales Engineer from March 2009 to February 2010, where they were responsible for technical and commercial proposals and negotiations.

Niccolò began their career as a Technical Tutor at C.F.P. - Centro di Formazione Professionale di Firenze from November 2007 to December 2008, teaching electronics and electrotechnology.

Niccolò Chierroni's education history begins in 1993 when they attended Liceo Classico Galileo in Florence, where they studied Latin, Greek, Philosophy, and Mathematics. Niccolò completed their Maturità classica in 1998.

In 1999, Chierroni enrolled at the Università degli Studi di Firenze and pursued a first degree in Electronic Engineering, specializing in Electronics and Electrotechnics. Niccolò completed this program in 2006.

During their time at the university, Chierroni also had the opportunity to study for seven months at the Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria during the Erasmus period. Niccolò approved six exams while studying there in 2005.

After completing their first degree, Chierroni continued their education at the Università degli Studi di Firenze and obtained a Master's Degree in Automation Engineering. This program covered various subjects including Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Robotics, and Control Theory. Niccolò completed this program in 2008.

In 2011, Chierroni attended an Economics Course at Finmeccanica / Ernst & Young, focusing on topics such as Economy, Value Creation, and Job Management. Niccolò received a certificate upon completion of this course.

In 2013 and 2014, Chierroni pursued an Executive MBA at Quality Evolution Consulting. This program focused on executive-level management and business administration.

In terms of certifications, Chierroni obtained a certificate in Business Finance from IMD in 2019.

Additionally, in 2020, they completed a course on Design Thinking and Creativity for Business at INSEAD.
