Desmond Naidoo

Desmond Naidoo is an accomplished Executive Producer with extensive experience in television production and media classification. Currently leading a freelance production team at SABC to create content for the theme of 30 Years of Democracy, Naidoo also serves as the Executive Producer and Owner of Slic Eye Productions, a company dedicated to impactful storytelling across various platforms. Additional roles include New Business Development at Meropa Communications, where Naidoo produced the Afrikaans reality series "Boereverneukers," and Chief Classifier at the Film and Publication Board, overseeing media classification standards. Previous experience spans notable positions at Urban Brew Studios, Carol Bouwer Productions, and SABC, where Naidoo commissioned numerous documentaries and shows while earning a solid educational foundation in Arts and Journalism from institutions such as the University of Natal and Wits.
