Robert Selzer has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Robert is currently working as an Assistant Project Manager II at Merrick & Company since 2022. Before joining Owens Corning, Selzer worked at Arclin from 2015 to 2018, first as a Plant Manager and then as an Operations Manager. As a Plant Manager, they were responsible for overseeing all functional leadership in the plant, including engineering, HSE, and operations. Robert also handled process safety, quality program management, production, and P&L responsibilities. In their subsequent role as an Operations Manager, they ensured smooth day-to-day operation of the facility by removing any barriers faced by the operations staff. Additionally, Selzer worked as the Quality Manager/Process Engineer at Arclin in 2015, where they established and maintained quality assurance and control programs and addressed customer complaints.

Prior to Arclin, Selzer served as a Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineer at Devro Inc from 2013 to 2015. In this role, they provided process improvement support, designed new and modified existing equipment, and implemented fail safes. Robert also supported lean manufacturing projects and received the "above and beyond" award for their contributions.

Before Devro Inc, Selzer worked as a Design Engineer (Mechanical) at INVISTA from 2012 to 2013, where they focused on new product development for machinery used in processing polymer fibers. Robert also served as a Lead Mechanical Engineer at Shaw Group Inc from 2009 to 2011, leading a team of engineers to resolve material certification issues and address non-conformance reports in the nuclear industry.

Selzer gained early experience as a Machinist and Research Assistant at the University of South Carolina, CBM from 2008 to 2009, where they monitored test stands for helicopter drive systems and designed/manufactured parts for the test stand. Robert also worked as a Design Engineer at Square D from 2004 to 2006, conducting lean manufacturing analysis and engineering projects for switchgear production.

Overall, Selzer has a track record of successfully managing teams, driving operational excellence, and implementing quality programs throughout their career in various industries.

Robert Selzer earned an Associates degree in Industrial Technology with a focus on Machine Tool Technology from Midlands Technical College, where they studied from 2001 to 2006. Robert later pursued their Bachelors degree in Science, majoring in Mechanical Engineering, at the University of South Carolina from 2006 to 2009.
