Abby R. has a strong and extensive work experience. Abby started their career as an Associate at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson from September 2001 to September 2003. In 2003, they worked as an Intern for Wayne Barrett at Village Voice Media. From 2003 to 2010, Abby held various roles at The Mergermarket Group (now Acuris Global), including Global Mergermarket Editor, Americas Editor, Assistant Editor, and Reporter. During this time, they played a key role in building Mergermarket into a successful global mergers and acquisitions intelligence tool. In 2011, Abby became the Head of Business Development & Innovation at The Mergermarket Group until January 2014.
Abby then joined Pearson North America in January 2014 as the VP of Strategy. In this role, they led the restructuring of Pearson Operations, focusing on global consolidation and real estate optimization. Abby also achieved more than $10 million in operational expenditure savings through the centralized structure implementation. Lastly, Abby joined Datasite in September 2017 as the Senior Director of Product Marketing. Their responsibilities included creating a strong value proposition for companies and leading M&A and due diligence thought leadership initiatives.
Abby R. obtained their JD degree in Law from Georgetown University Law Center, where they studied from 1998 to 2001. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate education at Bard College from 1994 to 1998, earning a BA degree in History and Political Science. In 1996 to 1997, Abby participated in a Study Abroad program at the University of Oxford, focusing on Modern History. Their high school education was completed at Trinity High School from 1990 to 1994, although no specific degree or field of study is provided for this period.
