Joe Allen

Joe Allen has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Joe started their career in 2012 at Minnesota Opera as a Supernumerary, where they cooperated with stage management and played various roles on stage. From 2013 to 2018, they worked at Orion Associates, initially as an Administrative Assistant and later as an Office Manager/Training Assistant, overseeing office operations and managing systems and facilities.

In 2017, Joe became a Founding Board Member at Fourth Wall MSP, contributing to the establishment of a community/co-working/rehearsal facility for artists in the Twin Cities. Joe also worked as an Actor at Theater Latté Da and as a Science Teller at ScienceTellers, where they performed shows and taught science to children.

Joe joined Prime Digital Academy in 2021 as a Developer Student, completing a full-stack engineering program. In 2018, they continued their work in the performing arts industry, joining Minnesota Opera as a Chorus Member and working as a Non-Equity Stage Director, Fight Choreographer, and Actor/Singer/Dancer.

From 2022 to 2023, Joe worked at Calabrio, Inc. as an Associate Professional Services Developer, specializing in custom integrations between the company's SaaS platform and customer environments. Currently, they are a Software Engineer 1 at Datasite, where they are involved in software engineering projects.

Throughout their career, Joe has gained diverse skills in software development, project management, performing arts, and office administration.

Joe Allen has a diverse education history. In 2021-2022, they attended Prime Digital Academy, where they obtained a Full-Stack Software Engineering Certification. Their studies focused on Computer Software Engineering and Human Computer Interaction. Prior to that, from 2007 to 2012, Joe attended Hamline University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Philosophy and another B.A. degree in Theatre/Theater.

In addition to their formal education, Joe has also acquired several certifications. Joe completed the "Build a Website with HTML, CSS, and Github Pages Skill Path" and the "Learn Python 3 Course" at Codecademy in September 2021. Also in September 2021, they completed the "Learn SQL Course" at the same institution. In 2020, Joe obtained certifications for the "Learn the Command Line Course" and the "Learn Go Course" at Codecademy. In April 2020, they completed the "How to Transform Tables with SQL Course" and another "Learn SQL Course" at Codecademy.
