Sean Kwon has extensive work experience in various roles, ranging from product design to house painting. Sean currently works as a Product Designer at Datasite since April 2022. Prior to this, Sean worked at Thomson Reuters as a UX Designer from September 2021 to April 2022 and as a User Experience Architect from November 2019 to September 2021. At Thomson Reuters, they focused on understanding user needs in the legal space, collaborating with stakeholders, and integrating new features into existing applications. Sean also worked briefly as a User Experience Designer at The Makery, where they took on small contracts for a design agency in 2019. In this role, they checked a client's accessibility for a banking application and helped design a credit card check-out experience for tablets geared towards church fundraisers. Before this, Sean had experience as a Produce Buyer at Eastside Food Co-op from April 2018 to December 2018 and at Seward Community Co-op in various roles, including Produce Buyer, Produce Shift Lead, Grocery Buyer, and Grocery Clerk, from 2013 to 2018. Sean's earliest work experience was as a House Painter at Tigerox Painting from May 2010 to November 2013, where they specialized in restoring and painting older homes.
Sean Kwon has a User Experience Design Certification from Prime Digital Academy, which they obtained in 2019. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Cultural Studies/Critical Theory and Analysis from the University of Minnesota between 2006 and 2010. In addition to their formal education, Sean also holds a Product-led Certification from Pendo.io, which they obtained in July 2023, and a UX Foundations: Accessibility certification from Lynda.com, obtained in August 2019.
