Starting in 2008, Mic Helms worked as a Professional Services Engineer at BAE Systems, Inc. Mic migrated Microsoft Exchange accounts to a SaaS platform and designed client qualification processes.

In 2007, Mic Helms was a Sr IS Engineer at Innovative Learning Concepts Inc, where they consolidated technology services, improved website management, and enhanced E-Newsletters.

In 2006, they worked as a Lead Web Developer at Vacation Ventures, LLC, streamlining the corporate website and vacation-destination catalog.

Finally, from 2003 to 2005, Mic Helms was the Director of Technology at The Colorado Springs School, managing IT staff and budgets, reducing costs, and renegotiating contracts.

Mic Helms has a strong educational background in computer science. They attended San Antonio College, where they studied computer science. They also attended the University of Maryland Global Campus, specifically the Heidelberg campus, to further their knowledge in the field.

In addition to their formal education, Mic Helms has obtained several certifications related to their field. They are a Certified Virtual Coach - Next Level Coaching Methodolog, which they obtained from Eben Pagan Training in August 2019. They are also a Certified Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming, which they obtained from the iNLP Center in September 2016. Lastly, they hold a CIW Associate certification from the CIW Certification Council, which was obtained in August 2002.
