Steven McAdams has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. Steven started their career at Lockheed Martin as a Configuration Management specialist from July 2010 to December 2010. Steven then transitioned to the role of a Software Engineer Associate, where they designed and developed bug fixes and enhancements for a legacy air traffic control system from May 2008 to May 2011.
After that, they took on the role of a Development Lead at Lockheed Martin, where they developed an internal web application from initial requirements to product launch. Steven was responsible for its maintenance and enhancements from May 2011 to November 2013. Moreover, they also worked as a Software Engineer during this time, where they designed and implemented an aircraft position simulator and worked on Google Web Toolkit development.
Following their tenure at Lockheed Martin, Steven joined Target as a Software Engineer in August 2014. There, they migrated a convoluted legacy ant build to an elegant gradle project and configured dependencies through an internal artifactory. In January 2017, they transitioned to the role of a Lead Software Engineer, leading the architecture and implementation of a loyalty redemption feature and collaboratively designing an enterprise architecture for the guest data platform until April 2020.
Currently, Steven is working at Datasite as a Lead Software Engineer, a role they started in April 2020. Recently, in October 2021, they transitioned to the position of Staff Software Engineer.
Steven McAdams earned their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota, where they attended from 2006 to 2009. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Software Engineering from the same institution, completing it from 2011 to 2013.
