Mark Benander

Online Program Coordinator and Associate Professor of Practice, Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Merrimack College

Mark Benander, PhD, MS, currently serves as the Online Coordinator for the Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Merrimack College, where responsibilities include teaching, supervision, and administrative duties. Previously, Mark held the position of Director of Graduate Psychology Programs and Associate Professor at Bay Path University, directing Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Developmental Psychology programs. Extensive experience includes conducting neurodevelopmental psychological evaluations for children at Thom Springfield Infants and Toddlers, and working as a Senior Psychologist at Mercy Hospital, focusing on psychological assessments and treatment. Additionally, Mark was an Assistant Professor at Springfield College and played a key role in developing a PsyD program in Counseling Psychology. Mark holds a PhD in Counseling Psychology and an MS in Psychopharmacology, with advanced studies from UMass Amherst and William James University.
