Shaun McAvoy

Shaun McAvoy currently serves as a Development Associate for the School of Engineering and Computational Sciences and the School of Nursing and Health Sciences at Merrimack College since November 2023. Previous experience includes roles as Sports Editor and Associate Sports Editor for Merrimack College’s newspaper, the Beacon, where Shaun oversaw sports article management and contributed articles. Shaun also held the position of Vice President for MCTV, creating content related to sports and news, and served as a First Year Experience Mentor, assisting incoming freshmen with their transition to college. In the Merrimack College Athletics department, Shaun gained hands-on experience as a Digital Media and Broadcast Production Intern, focusing on game day operations. An externship at NESN provided insights into sports journalism and behind-the-scenes production work. Shaun's early work experience included food preparation and customer service at Augusta’s Subs and Salads. Shaun is a Merrimack College graduate as of May 2022.
