Certified Hospice Volunteer at Merrimack Valley Hospice

Shawn Watkins is a dedicated advocate for veterans, currently holding multiple roles including District Judge Advocate and District Surgeon at VFW Massachusetts District 10 since June 2019, and serving as Chapter Service Officer and Jr. Vice Commander at DAV Hannah Dustin Chapter 20 since May 2018. Additional positions include Post Commander and Post Service Officer at VFW Lorraine Post 29, and Post Service Officer at AMVETS Post 147, all commenced in 2018. Since October 2017, Shawn Watkins has served as Adjutant for the Haverhill Veterans Council, collaborating across various veteran organizations in Haverhill, Massachusetts. An active volunteer with Merrimack Valley Hospice since July 2018, the focus is on supporting veterans and their families. As a Disabled Veteran since June 1992, Shawn co-founded the Veterans Service Dog Initiative, working to provide service dogs to veterans until April 2016. Prior experience includes roles in public relations and warehouse coordination from 2003 to 2013. Educational background includes general studies at Sanborn Regional High School from 1986 to 1987.
