Naniye Malli

Director, Translational Medicine at Mersana Therapeutics

Naniye Malli, PhD has extensive work experience in the field of translational medicine and immuno-oncology. They currently hold the position of Director of Translational Medicine at Mersana Therapeutics, where they have also served as the Director of Translational Immuno-Oncology and Antibody-Drug Conjugates, as well as the Associate Director of Immuno-Oncology and Antibody-Drug Conjugates. Prior to their time at Mersana Therapeutics, Malli worked as a Senior Scientist and Scientist in cancer immunotherapy drug discovery at the same company. Before joining Mersana Therapeutics, Malli worked as a Scientist in metabolic immuno-oncology at Agios Pharmaceuticals. They also have research experience as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and as a Postdoctoral Fellow and Graduate Research Assistant at the British Columbia Cancer Research Centre. Malli started their research career as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at Simon Fraser University and worked as a Research Assistant at the same institution.

Naniye Malli, PhD, has a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from Yıldız Teknik Üniversitesi in 2003. Naniye then obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Bio-inorganic Chemistry from Simon Fraser University in 2008. After that, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Molecular Oncology & Cancer Biology at The University of British Columbia, which they completed in 2013. Naniye Malli then went on to become a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they worked until 2017.
