Karyn Siemasko

Karyn Siemasko, Ph.D., currently serves as the Vice President of Clinical and Medical Affairs at Cytrellis Biosystems, Inc., beginning in February 2025. Prior to this role, Karyn held the position of Associate Vice President for Strategic Research in Global Medical Affairs at Merz Aesthetics since March 2018, where responsibilities included managing the global Investigator-Initiated Trials (IIT) program and collaborating with cross-functional teams on post-marketing study protocols. Karyn's experience also includes a tenure as Global Medical Director of Strategic Research at Santen from February 2016 to April 2018, focusing on ophthalmic therapies, and as a Senior Medical Science Liaison at KYTHERA Biopharmaceuticals, which was acquired by Allergan in 2015. Karyn's career began at Allergan in January 2002, progressing through various scientific and leadership roles to the position of Medical Science Liaison Manager before departing in August 2014. Karyn holds a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Immunology from the University of Chicago, a Ph.D. in Immunology from Rush University, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Saint Mary's College.
