Uwe Wortmann

Uwe Wortmann has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry. Uwe is currently working at Merz Therapeutics as the Lead Scientific Expert for Medical Devices & Combination Products. Prior to that, they worked at Merz Pharmaceuticals as a Technology Scout and then as the Head of Packaging - Filler R&D. Before joining Merz Pharmaceuticals, Uwe worked at LTS Lohmann Therapie-Systeme AG as a Medical Device Engineer. Uwe also worked at CSL as a Medical Device Specialist and at Biognosis GmbH as the Head of Laboratory.

Uwe Wortmann's education history begins in 1994 at the Märkische Fachhochschule Iserlohn, where they pursued a Dipl.-Ing. in Physical Engineering. Uwe completed this program in 1998. Then, between 2001 and 2003, Uwe attended RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau, focusing on Clinical Engineering. However, no degree name was specified for this period. Finally, Uwe pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Pharmaceutical Technology at The Philipp University of Marburg from 2005 to 2011.
