João N. has a diverse work experience in the field of data engineering and analytics. João began their career as a Researcher at the Institute for Systems and Robotics (ISR-Lisboa), where they developed a Master's thesis focused on the detection of people using Laser Range Finder data. João utilized Python and ROS (Robot Operating System) for algorithm development.

After completing their research role, João joined Deloitte as a Tech Analyst and later as a Tech Consultant in the Analytics & Cognitive department. Their responsibilities included log centralization in a Big Data Platform, development of monitoring dashboards in Grafana, troubleshooting of Apache Airflow pipelines, and the design of a framework for harmonizing real estate registries. João was also involved in numerous projects such as on-prem to Google Cloud Platform migration, machine learning prediction models, monitoring data platforms, and business intelligence initiatives.

Following their time at Deloitte, João worked at Volkswagen Digital Solutions as a Data Engineer. João was responsible for the maintenance and development of a Vehicle Data Platform hosted on AWS. João created ETL pipelines, implemented test and integration practices, and developed serverless code for infrastructure development.

Most recently, João worked at Primer as a Data Engineer. João assessed streaming and orchestration technologies, migrated and supported streaming pipelines, developed integration test frameworks, and used TDD (Test Driven Development) and CI/CD pipelines for code quality assurance. João actively participated in the design of new products and created RFCs to highlight market opportunities.

João N. pursued their education in the field of engineering. From 2014 to 2018, they attended Instituto Superior Técnico and completed their Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering. João further continued their studies at the same institution from 2017 to 2019 and obtained a Master's degree in Electrotechnical and Computers Engineering. In addition to their academic achievements, João obtained a Teaching Skills Certificate from IEFP in April 2021.
