Keith Gustafson

Keith Gustafson, CFA, is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in asset allocation and retirement income, currently serving as Managing Director at Mesirow since December 2020. Prior to this role, Gustafson was the Chief Investment Officer of Equities and Head of Research at Chicago Equity Partners, LLC, from July 1997 to June 2020, focusing on factor modeling, risk modeling, and optimization strategies for global equity and fixed income, integrating advanced methodologies such as machine learning and ESG considerations. Earlier in their career, Gustafson led investment company services at Ibbotson Associates, where Keith developed asset allocation strategies for financial institutions. Gustafson holds multiple degrees, including a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a Bachelor of Arts in Economic History from the University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Science in Financial Economics and Econometrics from the University of London, and an MBA in Finance from Loyola University Chicago.
