Mark Whitaker

Mark Whitaker, CFA, serves as the Senior Managing Director and Head of Municipal Sales and Research at Mesirow since March 2017, following a progression through roles including Managing Director and Senior Vice President. Prior to Mesirow, Mark held the position of Municipal Research Analyst at Northern Trust Asset Management from July 2008 to March 2017, where fundamental credit research was conducted to support tax-exempt fixed income mutual funds and managed accounts. Additionally, Mark's career includes experience as an Equity Analyst for the Educational Investment Fund at Illinois State University and a Global Private Client Intern at Merrill Lynch. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Business Education from Illinois State University, received between 2004 and 2008.
