Janine Fields

Janine Fields, Ed.D., currently serves as the Deputy Superintendent at Mesquite Independent School District since May 2022. Prior roles include Chief of Staff at Cedar Hill ISD from July 2020 to May 2022 and various positions within Garland Independent School District from October 2008 to July 2020, including Executive Innovation Officer, Area Director, and Elementary Principal. Janine also worked as an Adjunct Faculty member at the University of North Texas and an Elementary Principal at Mount Vernon School District. Earlier career experience includes serving as K-12 Curriculum Director and Teacher at Sedro-Woolley School District. Janine holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Southern Methodist University, a Master of Education in Principal and Leadership from City University of Seattle, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Western Washington University.
