John M. Blum

VP, Knoxville Region at Messer

John joined Messer in 1996 as a co-op while studying civil engineering at the University of Cincinnati. He earned his degree four years later. John is a member of ASCE and Chi Epsilon, the national civil engineering honor society. Over the past two decades with Messer, he progressed through the ranks to his current role as Operations Vice President for the Knoxville, Tennessee region. His project experience includes several high-profile projects in both Cincinnati and Knoxville, including Newport on the Levee, Bethany Lutheran Village, Clayton Center for the Arts, Scripps Networks Technology and Data Center, Carter Elementary School, and University of Tennessee West Campus Redevelopment. Outside of Messer, John serves his community as a board member for Rebuilding Together Knoxville.
