Principal Scientist - Antibody Discovery at Mestag Therapeutics

Floriane Laurent has a diverse work experience in the field of protein science and research. Floriane is currently working as a Principal Scientist at Mestag Therapeutics since January 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Avacta, first as a Principal Scientist - Protein Sciences from January 2022 to May 2022, and then as a Senior Protein Scientist from December 2018 to present. Floriane also held the position of Protein Scientist at Avacta from January 2016 to November 2018.

Before their time at Avacta, Floriane worked at Applied Molecular Transport/University of Bath as a Research Scientist from August 2015 to December 2015. Floriane also completed their PhD in the same organization from October 2011 to October 2015. Additionally, they gained industry experience through an R&D Internship at Servier from February 2011 to August 2011.

Early in their career, Floriane undertook a Research Internship at the University of Glasgow from June 2010 to August 2010. Overall, Floriane Laurent has a strong background in protein science, with extensive experience in both industry and research settings.

Floriane LAURENT obtained a PhD in Drug Delivery from the University of Bath, attending from 2011 to 2015. Before that, Floriane studied Medicinal Chemistry at Lund University from 2010 to 2011. Prior to that, Floriane obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Chemistry and Biochemistry from Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Montpellier, attending from 2009 to 2011. Floriane also holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Chemistry from the same institution, attended from 2008 to 2009.

Aside from these educational experiences, Floriane obtained certifications in PRINCE2® Foundation and Practitioner Certification Training from PeopleCert in January 2023, as well as Leadership and Management from Reed.co.uk in November 2022.
