Katie Hodge is a Senior Applied Marine/Climate Scientist at the Met Office, where since November 2019, Katie has advanced through various roles focused on climate resilience and adaptation for marine environments. Responsibilities include running surge and wave models to assess climate impacts on the UK and developing tools and communications for government and industry stakeholders. Earlier positions involved contributions to climate service developments and improving marine forecast accuracy using statistical and machine learning techniques. Additionally, Katie served as a Conference Organizer for the Royal Meteorological Society's Student and Early Careers Science Conference and demonstrated in an undergraduate Geochemistry course at the University of Southampton. Katie holds an MSci in Oceanography from the University of Southampton and has also studied at the University of Bergen.
