Bhaskar Mehta

Bhaskar Mehta serves as a Senior Director at Meta since May 2021, leading the Data Infra organization, which encompasses various components such as Real-time systems, Logging, Analytics, Compute, Data warehousing, and Privacy and Security. Prior to this role, Bhaskar held the position of Senior Director of Engineering at Google from January 2008 to May 2021, where leadership included overseeing YouTube's Data Infrastructure and supporting a substantial team across multiple locations. Earlier experiences include roles at L3S Research Center as a Project Manager and Post Doctoral Scientist, as well as research positions at Fraunhofer IPSI focusing on Machine Learning and Recommendation systems. Bhaskar holds multiple degrees, including a B.Tech and M.Tech in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, a Post Doctorate in Spam Detection from Leibniz Universität Hannover, and a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Duisburg-Essen.
