Chris Rinkus

Chris Rinkus is an experienced public policy professional currently serving as the Director of Public Policy at Meta since November 2025. Previously, Rinkus held a position at Snap Inc. from July 2024 to November 2025, focusing on online safety policy solutions and engaging with state legislators. As Head of Government Affairs at GoGuardian from February 2022 to July 2024, Rinkus led advocacy efforts for government funding and managed a lobbying team across multiple states. Rinkus also served as Deputy Assistant Secretary at the U.S. Department of Education from March 2017 to January 2021, overseeing significant federal spending and emergency relief initiatives during the pandemic. Early career experience includes leadership roles at the District of Columbia Public Schools and positions at the Republican National Committee. Rinkus holds a Master’s Degree from Georgetown University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Government from American University.
