Deesha Phalak possesses extensive software engineering experience, having worked at Microsoft from March 2013 to November 2016, where significant contributions included the implementation of an acclaimed exception helper feature for Visual Studio Core Debugger and the design of an email dispatcher service for Microsoft Teams. Prior experience includes a software development internship at Qualcomm and a role as a graduate research assistant at the University of Minnesota, where a nurse staffing management application was developed. Deesha also has a background in project intern roles focused on control systems. Currently serving as an engineering manager at Meta since April 2019, Deesha holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Cummins College of Engineering for Women and a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.
