Emily Ellis

Emily Ellis is a legal professional specializing in intellectual property law, with significant experience across various prestigious organizations. Emily began her career as a Berktern at the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University in the summer of 2013. Emily then served as a Research Assistant at NYU School of Law and as a Summer Legal Intern at the Center for Democracy & Technology in 2014. From 2016 to 2020, Emily worked as an Associate Attorney in the Intellectual Property group at Winston & Strawn LLP, focusing on copyright, trademark, and new media matters, and was admitted to practice in New York in 2017. Emily advanced to Meta, where positions included Counsel and Lead Counsel in the IP department from 2020 to 2024, culminating in a role as Associate General Counsel. Emily holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Doctor of Law degree from New York University School of Law.
