Eric Smith

Eric Smith is a Research Scientist specializing in Generative AI at Meta since March 2018, previously serving as a Research Engineer at FAIR. Eric also worked as a Software Engineer in Machine Learning at Blue Apron and was a fellow at Insight Data Science, where notable projects included developing predictive models for school performance and constructing a web application using Flask and AWS. Earlier experience includes serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at Princeton University, where Eric advanced audio waveform algorithms and conducted significant research on gene expression in fruit fly embryos, among other accomplishments. Eric began an academic journey in Physics, obtaining a Ph.D. from Princeton and a Bachelor of Arts from Columbia, with foundational research experience at both Columbia and Cornell University.
