Farhad Roueintan is an experienced engineering leader with a robust background in technology and product development. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering for WhatsApp AI at Meta since January 2022, Farhad leads efforts to integrate generative AI for over 3 billion users. Previously, Farhad held multiple engineering leadership roles at Twitch from January 2012 to December 2021, including VP of Engineering, where responsibilities encompassed client engineering across various platforms. Earlier in the career, Farhad contributed to major titles at Electronic Arts as a software engineer, notably leading systems teams and gameplay development. Farhad also gained engineering experience through internships at MDA Space and Agilent Technologies, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Simon Fraser University.
