Fiona Ding

Fiona Ding is an experienced professional in the fields of physics and data science, with a strong academic background including a Bachelor of Science in Physics and a minor in Mathematical Sciences from Carnegie Mellon University and a Master's degree in Physics from UC Davis. Fiona has served as a Teaching Assistant at UC Davis, where discussion and lab sections of undergraduate physics courses were led, and as a Graduate Student Researcher focusing on high energy heavy ion physics using the STAR detector at RHIC. Additional research experiences at Michigan State University and Cornell Center for Materials Research involved studies on nuclear dynamics and atomic behavior. In the professional sphere, Fiona worked as a Data Scientist at Crossover Health, developing machine learning models and building ETL processes, and is currently employed as a Data Engineer at Meta, with prior experience as an Associate Management Analyst for the County of Santa Clara, where database systems were designed and implemented.
