Gaven Watson

Gaven Watson is an accomplished professional in the fields of engineering and research, currently serving as an Engineering/Research Manager (TLM) for Ads Signals at Meta since May 2023. Previously, Gaven held the position of Research Scientist Manager for Statistics & Privacy in Applied Cryptography at Meta from June 2022 to April 2023. Gaven’s earlier experience includes roles as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Calgary and a Postdoctoral Research Assistant at the University of Bristol. Additionally, Gaven worked at Cryptomathic as a Product Manager and Innovation Team Lead, followed by a tenure at Visa that included positions as Sr. Research Scientist and Director in Advanced Cryptography. Gaven holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and a Master of Science (MS) from Royal Holloway, University of London, along with a Bachelor of Science (BS) from Heriot-Watt University.
