Ilya Slavinski

Ilya Slavinski is a highly experienced academic and professional with a robust background in sociology and criminal justice. Ilya served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin and is currently an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice and Sociology at Dominican University New York. Ilya has held various roles in social advocacy and research, including positions as Case Manager at Central Boston Elder Services, State Director for the New Voters Project, and Principal Researcher at Gartner. Additionally, Ilya has experience as a Clinical Assistant Professor and Director of the MS in Criminology program at the University at Buffalo and currently works as a Qualitative UX Researcher at Meta. Ilya holds a BA in Philosophy with Highest Honors from Rutgers University, an MSc in International Development with High Merit from the London School of Economics, and a PhD in Sociology from The University of Texas at Austin.
