Kaixing W.

Kaixing (Kai) W. is a skilled machine learning engineer and researcher with extensive experience in the field. Currently serving as a Partner Engineer in GenAI at Meta, contributions include work on the Llama 3 paper and the evaluation of its reproducibility. Previously, at Waabi, efforts focused on improving training efficiency to reduce cloud computation costs. At Zoom, responsibilities included maintaining a Kubernetes-based centralized machine learning platform and optimizing distributed model training. As a Speech Research Engineer at ASAPP, Kaixing trained language models for real-time ASR systems and developed an efficient inverse-text-normalizer component. Earlier roles included a reinforcement learning research internship at UCLA, where significant algorithm implementation and research were conducted, as well as work as a computer vision researcher at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, focusing on fine-grained vehicle classification and motion blur solutions. Kaixing holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Carleton College.
