Kuntal Shah

Kuntal Shah is a Software Engineer with extensive experience in building scalable data infrastructure and cloud-based solutions. Currently at Meta since August 2024, Kuntal has previously worked at eBay as a Member of Technical Staff and Flexport as a Senior Software Engineer, where core contributions included developing a Streaming and Messaging Platform utilizing Apache Kafka and implementing a self-serve CDC pipeline for data integration. Prior roles include significant positions at Proofpoint, focusing on Email Security, and Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where Kuntal contributed to the DigitalSafe project. With a strong background in technologies such as Java, Kafka, Snowflake, and Kubernetes, Kuntal has also played a mentoring role for junior engineers throughout the career. Kuntal holds a Master’s degree in Computer Software Engineering from San Jose State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Gujarat Technological University.
