Micheal Binns

Micheal Binns is an experienced legal professional specializing in intellectual property (IP) law with a focus on patents and trade secrets. As Director and Associate General Counsel at Meta from March 2021 to March 2024, Micheal led global IP strategy for advanced technologies, overseeing patent portfolio development and risk mitigation. Prior roles at Meta included key responsibilities in IP risk mitigation and licensing. Micheal has also contributed as a 2023 Fellow with the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity, enhancing professional development and leadership skills. Previously, Micheal served as a partner at Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP, specializing in IP counseling and litigation, and has extensive experience as an associate attorney at McGuireWoods LLP and Fitzpatrick, Cella, Harper & Scinto. Micheal holds a Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law and a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Morgan State University.
