Refael Vivanti, PhD, is a Computer Vision Engineer at Meta in Tel Aviv, Israel, since September 2021. Previously, Refael served as the Founder of GreenWave, a mobile application aimed at optimizing driving speeds to achieve green traffic lights from January 2015 to June 2016. From April 2017 to September 2021, Refael worked at Rafael Advanced Defense Systems as a Researcher and Computer Vision Engineer, focusing on algorithm design and computer engineering in homeland security. Refael possesses over a decade of experience in various fields including computer vision, image processing, and video tracking. In parallel with professional endeavors, Refael completed a PhD in Medical Image Processing at the Hebrew University under Prof. Leo Joscowicz and currently lectures at the university on Vision Aided Navigation.
