Samyukta Jayakumar

Samyukta Jayakumar, PhD, is an experienced researcher and educator specializing in cognitive science and machine learning. As a Machine Learning Project Associate at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, Samyukta developed machine learning models for simulating human behavior and was awarded a patent for a computational model in stroke rehabilitation. Currently serving as a UX Research Scientist at Meta, Samyukta collaborates on research for AR/VR systems, focusing on enhancing user experience through artifact and ergonomics studies. Previous experience includes a role as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of California, Riverside, where Samyukta taught various psychology courses and mentored students. Samyukta holds a PhD in Cognitive Science, an MA in Cognitive Psychology, and a BTech in Biotechnology.
