Syavosh Zad-Issa

Syavosh ZAD-ISSA is a seasoned technical manager specializing in audio algorithms, currently employed at Meta since July 2019. Previously, Syavosh served as an Audio Algorithm/Embedded Systems Architect at Microsoft from July 2012 to July 2019, where contributions included developing low power keyword spotting algorithms and voice processing pipelines. Prior to that, Syavosh held the position of Principal Systems Engineer at Broadcom Corporation, focusing on DSP algorithm development for Bluetooth technologies. There, leadership roles involved prototyping innovative audio processing technologies. Syavosh started the career at Mindspeed Technologies as a Senior DSP Systems Engineer, and also contributed to Nortel as a Member of Technical Staff. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from McGill University and a Bachelor's degree from Polytechnique Montréal.
