Tanmoy Chakraborty

Tanmoy Chakraborty is a Director of Engineering at Meta, where responsibilities include leading the development of ads auction algorithms for privacy-enhanced ads products since January 2020. Previously, Tanmoy served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard University, focusing on algorithms within the EconCS group and the Center for Research on Computation and Society. Tanmoy also contributed as a Consultant at Microsoft Research, designing pricing schemes for online display ad bundles, and had experience as a Research Intern at Google, developing selective call out strategies for real-time bids in an Ad Exchange, which resulted in a patent. Tanmoy earned a PhD in Computer and Information Science from the University of Pennsylvania and a BS in Mathematics from the Chennai Mathematical Institute.
