Kay Lawton

Kay Lawton has a diverse work experience starting from being an Instructor at the University of Tennessee in 1985 to working as a Vice President at Metabolon starting in 2014. Along the way, they held various research and leadership roles at Ciba-Geigy, Purdue University, CIBA Agricultural Biotechnology Research Unit, Novartis Agricultural Biotechnology, Syngenta Biotechnology, Inc before joining Metabolon. Kay'sroles included Research Scientist, Senior Scientist, Principal Scientist, and Director before ultimately becoming Vice President.

Kay Lawton holds a Ph.D. in Horticulture and Molecular Biology from Purdue University. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's degree in Ornamental Horticulture & Landscape Design from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Kay also holds a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture/Natural Resources Management from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
