Fergal MacKie

Fergal Mackie has a diverse work experience background. Fergal started their career as a Windsurfing Instructor at Mark Warner in 2017. In 2019, they worked as a Summer Design Intern at Seawater Solutions, where they contributed to the development of complex systems for a competition. Fergal also conducted research on irrigation systems and designed a new logo for the company. In the same year, Fergal worked as a Design Engineer, specializing in Frisco E-Bikes. Fergal'sresponsibilities included strategy development, component selection, costing analysis, and consumer research for a city bike scheme. Fergal then pursued further education and enrolled as a student at the Department of Design, Manufacturing, and Engineering Management at the University of Strathclyde, where they studied from 2015 to 2020. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Executive Officer at Metacarpal Ltd, starting in 2020. Additionally, Fergal has joined the Royal Academy of Engineering as an Enterprise Fellow, appointed in 2022.

Fergal Mackie obtained a Master's degree in Product Design Engineering from the University of Strathclyde from 2015 to 2020. Currently, they are pursuing studies in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies at the Royal Academy of Engineering 1851 Royal Commission since 2022.
