Anthony Aguirre

Anthony Aguirre has held various roles in different organizations throughout their career. In 2003, they started working as a Professor at UC Santa Cruz. In 2006, they became the Scientific Director at the Foundational Questions Institute. In 2014, Aguirre founded the Future of Life Institute, where they also served as the Executive Vice-President. Anthony Aguirre earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics-Physics from Brown University, where they attended from 1991 to 1995. Later, they pursued a PhD in Astronomy from Harvard University, which they completed from 1996 to 2000.
