Laura Mernka

Laura Mernka has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Laura began their career in 1988 at Associated Internists PC as an Accountant, where they managed payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and human resources duties. In 1998, they joined Fort Dodge Animal Health as an Accounting Clerk, responsible for verifying veterinarian accounts payable, monthly reporting, database administration, and quality control testing. From 1999 to 2000, Laura worked as an Administrative Assistant to the Vice President at C&S Products, Inc, handling various tasks such as product research and development, purchasing, employee OSHA and safety program, benefits and payroll administration, and human resources. Laura then worked as a Purchasing Coordinator at Land O'Lakes from 2000 to 2002. From 2002 to 2009, Laura joined Fort Dodge Transmission, Inc as an Accounting professional, focusing on payroll, employee benefits, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. In 1999, they co-owned Pig Pros, Inc, a data entry business servicing the swine industry, where they were responsible for financial planning and budgeting, auditing expenses, payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, monthly report analysis, quarterly and yearly tax preparation, customer service, and invoicing. Their most recent role was at MetaFarms since 2010 as a Customer Service representative.

Laura Mernka attended Iowa Central Community College from 1985 to 1986, where they studied Accounting. However, they did not earn a degree during their time at the college.
