Olaf Schubert

Olaf Schubert has extensive work experience in various leadership and operational roles in the aerospace and engineering industry. Olaf began their career with an apprenticeship as a Chemical Technician at Bayer from 1987 to 1990. Olaf then worked as a Graduate Student at DLR (German Aerospace Center) - Institute of Materials Research in 1998. In 2000, they joined Lufthansa Technik, where they held roles as a Product Engineer, Project Engineer, Project Manager, and Senior Manager until 2009. From 2009 to 2017, they worked at Hawker Pacific Aerospace, serving as the Director of Operations, Director of Program Engineering & Procurement, and Senior Director of Aircraft Related Components. Since 2017, they have worked at California Technical Plating, first as the VP of Operations and later as the President. In 2020, they became the President of Metal Surfaces, Inc.

Olaf Schubert obtained a Diploma in General Management from SGMI Management Institut St. Gallen in 2008. Prior to that, they earned a Dipl.-Ing. (FH), B.S. (Hons) degree in Process Engineering from Cologne University of Applied Sciences in 1999. In addition, Schubert has obtained several certifications including Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) from APICS in 2013, Lean Production - Specialist from Lufthansa Technik AG in 2009, and they have also completed the Jonah Program® - Constraint-Based Decision Making at AGI - Goldratt Institute.
