Shawnia Elder

Shawnia Elder is a seasoned speech and language pathologist with extensive experience in bilingual services and supervision across various healthcare and educational settings. Currently serving as a Speech and Language Supervisor at Metamorphosis Speech Therapy Group Inc since February 2024, Shawnia has also provided bilingual speech and language services for children and facilitated parent training at Elder Healthcare Consulting, LLC since December 2018. Previous roles include bilingual speech and language pathologist positions at Specialized Assessment & Consulting, where evaluations and consultations in public school settings were conducted, and at Speech and Language Connection, where treatment strategies for diverse speech disorders were implemented. With a strong foundation in mentoring and advocating for both patients and therapists, Shawnia has also held supervisory roles at RiverKids Pediatric Home Health Therapy Agency and has a comprehensive educational background with a Master's in Communication Sciences and Disorders from The University of Texas at Dallas and a Bachelor's in English from Austin College.
