Maryam Sadeghi

Maryam Sadeghi has a diverse work experience spanning several years. Maryam is the co-founder and CEO of MetaOptima Technology Inc., a company they started in 2012. In 2019, they also became the director of AInBC. Maryam has a background in healthcare, as they were a post-doc fellow at Simon Fraser University, UBC Dermatology, and BC Cancer Agency from 2012 to 2013. Prior to that, they worked as a research assistant at the British Columbia Cancer Agency (BCCA) and the Mole Research Group. Maryam completed their PhD at Simon Fraser University, where they were also a member of the Intelligent Machine Lab from 2004 to 2007. Additionally, Maryam served as the director of the Digital Health Hub from 2013 to 2015, where they played a role in accelerating health innovations through partnerships with academic and industry players.

Maryam Sadeghi completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Iran University of Science and Technology between the years 2000 and 2005. Following that, they pursued a PhD in the Medical Image Analysis Lab under the Computing Science Department at Simon Fraser University from 2008 to 2012.
