Daniel Herzig is currently the Chief Operating Officer at metaphacts GmbH, a position held since August 2017, following the role of Founder and CEO at SearchHaus GmbH from 2013 until its acquisition in 2017. While at SearchHaus, Daniel Herzig developed GraphScope, a smart graph search engine. Previous experiences include a tenure as a Visiting Researcher at Yahoo Labs in 2012, where work focused on federated entity search, and internships at Siemens Healthcare and SAP, concentrating on software development and research in Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Business Process Mining, respectively. Daniel Herzig holds a Dr.-Ing. in Information Technology from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, as well as additional qualifications as a Visiting Researcher at Stanford University and a Visiting Graduate Student at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
