Angela Hicks

Angela Hicks has a diverse range of work experience in Human Resources and People & Culture. Angela is currently serving as the Head of People & Culture - Food at Metcash, where they focus on building a constructive culture and developing leaders. Prior to this, Angela worked at QBE Insurance as a General Manager Human Resources, responsible for delivering the people plan and driving culture change. Angela also worked at Crystallize Consulting as a Senior Consultant, specializing in Leadership development and culture and engagement programs. Angela has experience in global roles, having served as the Human Resources Director AU/NZ at Carlson Wagonlit Travel and as an Organizational Development Leader at Lion (formerly Lion Nathan, Lion Nathan National Foods). Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in strategic initiatives, leadership development, culture, engagement, and talent management.

Angela Hicks completed the Company Directors Course at the Australian Institute of Company Directors in 2018. Angela obtained a Masters in Organisational Coaching from the University of Sydney between 2004 and 2007, specializing in Coaching Psychology. Prior to that, Angela obtained a Bachelor of Commerce in Management & Legal Studies from the University of Wollongong from 1995 to 1998. In addition to their formal education, Angela has acquired additional certifications including Hogan Leadership Assessments from Peter Berry Consultancy in 2022 and various leadership and professional selling skills certifications.
