Gerhardt Kirchner is a seasoned project manager and engineer with extensive experience in the metallurgical and water treatment sectors. Currently serving as a Project Manager and Project Engineer at METC since April 2020, Kirchner oversees the design and construction of metallurgical process plants throughout their life cycle. Previous roles include Project and Operations Manager at Hall Core Water, where responsibilities encompassed water abstraction and infrastructure maintenance, and Project Manager at Murray & Roberts, focusing on the design and construction of water treatment plants. Gerhardt Kirchner holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Stellenbosch University and began a career in engineering following a part-time technician role at the student IT center during university.
