LaVondra Mclaughlin (Pye) serves as a Medical Readiness Officer in the United States Army Reserves since March 2009, currently holding the rank of MAJOR in the Army Nurse Corps. As a Veterans Health Education Coordinator with the Department of Veterans Affairs NC since October 2015, LaVondra focuses on outreach and educational programs for culturally diverse veteran patients in rural settings. Additionally, LaVondra has been an Adjunct Instructor at Methodist University since February 2015 and has worked as a Registered Nurse Educator for the Department of Veterans Affairs since April 2010, responsible for nursing processes and health promotion. Prior experience includes serving as an Inpatient Hospital Nurse Case Manager with Carolina Collaborative Community Care until April 2010. LaVondra holds a Doctor in Nursing Practice in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing from Gardner-Webb University, a Master of Science in Nursing from Liberty University, and two bachelor's degrees in Nursing and Psychology from Fayetteville State University and North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, respectively.
