Frances Schorr is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in educational research and evaluation. Currently serving as a Senior Research Scientist at Metis Associates since October 1987, Frances leads large-scale evaluation projects aimed at empowering non-profit organizations in policy and practice decisions, with a specific focus on enhancing organizational self-evaluation capabilities. Frances held the position of Vice President at Metis Associates, contributing to project management and strategic decision-making. Prior experience includes directing the Cognitive Skills Program at Long Island University, where Frances integrated thinking skills into curricula with funding from FIPSE, and serving as a lecturer in educational and adolescent psychology at Cornell University. Frances earned a PhD in Educational Psychology from Cornell University and a BA in Psychology from Binghamton University.
